Give and Take

My friend Amber wrote a post {read here} last Friday, January 22nd,
about the 37th anniversary of the passing of Roe vs Wade.
Watch this John Piper video:
And then watch this video of this family {family blog here and here} who waited 2.5 years to bring their baby home from Haiti, which finally happened this week. Praise Jesus in the midst of a storm.
Amos' Story here:
what an absolutely heart breaking thing that people are fighting for their babies when there are others not even willing to give them life at all.
Please Pray for our president
Please pray for our country
Please pray for the heart of pregnant woman
Please pray for Haiti
Please pray for Loss and Life.
Please pray for the joy of families getting their children after so long.
Please pray for Salvation.

"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families; he leads the prisoners forth with singing."
(Ps. 68:5-6a)

14 yrs.

14 years ago my dad won his battle with brain cancer.
His victory being that he was able to spend the rest of his life in heaven with his Jesus. The reason that I use the word "won" because I believe he did not
lose anything, he gained eternal life in heaven.
What's to lose in that?
14 years ago I was in 8th grade, my sister Whitney was in 6th and Tay was in 3rd- life was different then, my dad had fought this battle for 5 long years, we were at my grandparents house listening to Michael English's "In Christ alone" as my dad "slept", it was a sweet time, a sad time-yes, but it sure was sweet. I remember going eat pancakes after, I remember them being the best pancakes I had ever eaten. I know a weird thought to remember but they were oh so good. My dad was a godly man, he sure did love Christ and he showed it. He was such a man of integrity and a great dad. Cancer was hard, it played a tough match but it didn't win. Christ won. So I say all this to say that I am proud of my dad, proud of how hard he fought to be with our family but in the end I believe he achieved VICTORY IN JESUS.

Talk about Tuesday

{::With nothing to talk about::}
Just me and Snotty Whitty
(Literally has snot pouring from his nose,
not Snotty the attitude,
Well...
maybe a little but he is so cute I let it slide)
hanging in the back yard on this sunny day

In the Third picture you can clearly see a little bit of the snotty attitude,
and a little bit of the actual snot. Sorry about that.
