WINTER CATCH UP

Things That have happened in the Wetherell Household since I last posted:

-My little (middle) Sister, Whitney, got engaged the week
before Christmas. It was such a fun proposal and we are
so thrilled that her and Ran will
be getting married this year!

-We went to Austin and celebrated Christmas with the Family.
Whitt and I were there for almost a week and loved it.
Andy joined us just in time for all the festivities.
- Whitt celebrated his first Christmas!
-On Christmas day we went and delievered gifts to all the kids @ the Children's hospital in Austin. It was an absolute Joy to see the kids faces light up when they saw
Santa and received their gifts.
- We had a "Spa Day" with Whittaker. It was so funny, we set up this "Spa" and would video everybody's reaction when they walked in the door, it made for a lot of laughs.
-We celebrated Christmas in Houston with the Wetherell/Sykes.
-It snowed in Jasper, Texas....I know I know, it snowed everywhere.
But this was Whitt's first Snow
We had a National Championship party at our house and cheered the Longhorns on.
Even though they lost, we still love them.
This little man turned 7 months (today) but he has gotten his 2 bottom teeth, is now sleeping swaddle free and flips to his stomach seconds after we put him down.
The little man is taking 2 naps a day (2 to 3 hours each).
Is eating 3 meals a day plus a 6 oz. bottle every 4 hours.
He is not big on fruit but loves most veggies.
He is absolutely full of personality and loves to laugh.
These Wetherell's are excited about the year ahead of them and
are praying about some BIG changes....
{Love}

Happy Half Birthday Whittaker

Happy Half birthday to my favorite little man in the whole world.
This time last year I was making little calendars to give out to everyone to tell them that you were growing in my belly. I was so happy when I heard your first little heart beat and knew that you were actually in there. I will never forget the first time that I felt you move, joy filled me from head to toe. Oh, and when I found out you were a boy, I was beside myself. We had never had boys in my family, so I was a little scared but little boy, you have sure melted my heart like no one has before. I am so proud of you on this half birthday. You have blown us out of the water. You have beaten all odds of a baby born at 29 weeks, you are such a strong fighter. You have pushed the envelope from day one- impressing everyone from doctor's, to therapist's, to the parents of other babies in the hospital, to your family. to your mom and dad. So Little Whitt on this 6 month birthday I want to thank you for letting us be your parents, letting us love you, letting me carry you in my belly for 29 weeks, but most of all
Thanks for impressing us...don't stop!
I love you little Bit and It is my pleasure to be able to call you my son.
HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY!

::WHITT MAN::
He is five months and growing like a weed or should I say a flower. He is weighing in at a whooping 14 lbs. He is developing little rolls on his legs and has a round in his belly. He is holding up his head like such a big boy. You are probably thinking 5 months and just now holding his head good, well since he was born 10 weeks early he has a slight delay. I also have to remind myself of that often when I see babies that are the same age as him. He love to talk and smile, constantly. He has the cutest little grin I have ever seen. He loves to stand up and Jump, He lifts his left leg a little higher than the right every time he is in the air, it is funny! He also loves the TV, if it is on in the room, he finds it. He is drinking 7 oz. every feeding. We are about to introduce cereal, maybe! He is starting to like his bath time... before now he was a fighter every time he was put in the water. His little "stork bite" on his head is slowly fading. Slowly but surely. He is still waking up during the night for a feeding but these last two nights he has slept from 8 to 8. Knock on wood. I hope he continues.
Happy 5 months little man!!!!
Well here are some pics of the little man lately.
Whitt has begun to experiment with some of his toys, here he is in his jumper. He is still a little small but loves to work those legs. He is a mover people.
We have this scale in our office, so I gave it a try but it was broken.
Bath time- He has his serious face on.
If you cant tell, we are counting down the days until the holidays!!!!

LOVE.

{::18 weeks::}

Mr. Tums as I call him sometimes {due to his over abundance of gas} had his 4 month well check yesterday. He is actually 4.5 months but we were waiting for his RSV shot to arrive. My little man was approved for a series of RSV shots for this season, so he has to get 5 over the months to come. The doc was all around impressed with Whittaker. She said that he was ahead of schedule for his adjusted date {which would be 2.5 months} and he was even doing some things that a "normal" 4 month old would do.
He weighted in at 12 lbs 13 0z.
which puts him in the
5th percentile.
He was 24 inches long
which put him in the
4th percentile.
He was very brave for his shots and in all actually flirted with the dr. for most of the visit. Whitt, is such a happy baby, he laughs and smiles for the majority of the day.
He is eating 5-6 oz. every 4 hours on the dot. We are were told we can introduce single- grain cereal when ever we want. It is up to us. The little man has slept from 8 to 8 a couple nights this week, but thats not the norm. I think he really loves his bed.
He wakes up laughing and smiling every morning.
Some days (really everyday) I think he looks like me and somedays (not so much)
I think he looks like his dad.We will have to post baby pics and get yall opinion.
Well Whitt, thank you for making this 18 weeks some of the best weeks of my life.
You are an absolute JOY!

I made a random trip down to Houston yesterday to see I little band known as U2 and with them, Muse (which rocked my socks off). We were in the inner circle (thanks to the dear friends of ours who waited all day in line, 6 a.m, people...we were # 71 in the stadium). The concert was a blast. It was so great to be so close to music so loud. It literally made your insides shake. Well we heard some great music, saw some interesting peeps, got some pics
(not good ones though, Thank you iPhone) and walked away with a
bruised rib (thank you to the people dancing next to me).
What more could a girl ask for?!?

besides these... Aren't they cute?!?!

I saw them on Bakerella.com
they are just the cutest cupcake stands I have ever seen
And those cupcake, I am drooling.
The recipe is on her sight.
