Update on Whitt's Appointment:
Whitt did amazing today. We woke up bright and early and made our way to Nacogdoches. Some of the time I feel great guilt for what is going on with little Whitt. It was my body that wasn't able to hold him and keep him safe for the 10 months. I was the reason he has to come early and be so sick. oh but today there was relief from that. We sang the whole way to the doctor to Robbie Seay and Aaron Ivey.
It was a great time in the car with me, whitt and our BIG God. Those songs were perfect for me this morning sharing some promises that God has given to us and just a reminder that He is not a God of Guilt or worry. Praise Jesus for His face during the storm.
So onto the little man.....
The mister did so good at the doctor today. And she was so so great with him, she was such an answer to prayer. She gave us such good insight.
She was able to show us some activities and exercises to do with the little man. He has some oral defensiveness we need to work on and some tools and activities to get him eating foods with texture. According to the doc, all of this is not a short process- we will get results over time.So the plan is to continue with the occupational and feeding therapy.
We will have a break before we head back again but
we have a list of homework to do with the Mister.
Thank you so much for your prayers. They were much appreciated. I got an encouraging email from a friend today and it came in perfect timing as did each of your comments...
....
XOXO

Corey, do not ever blame yourself. God had a plan and there was nothing you could have done. You are a great mommy to Whitt and he is lucky to have you and Andy. All that homework just means more time to spend one on one with your little man. He will love it!! Glad to hear things are great!
So grateful for your wonderful appointment and the encourgament that I can see through your words. We are praying for the little man and for you and Andy and know that God IS a great big God and he never leaves us hanging. Big hugs from our gang to yours!
What a blessing! I love you both so much. You are a wonderful mother and we serve such an AWESOME God!
Corey, from the very beginning it was God's plan for Whitt to be born early, nothing your body could have done to stop it! I am so glad that the appointment was encouraging! You are a wonderful mother to Whitt, LOVE YOU DEAR! :)
