On the GO with Whitt in Tow!

WERE BACK!!!!!

I have been wanting to post but since I live in the wooded forest, my internet wasn't wanting to cooperate. We had a wonderful but short visit to Houston and stayed with Andy's brother,wife and Whittaker's cousins. They are so sweet to "baby Whittaker".

We were also able to see and spend some time with Daniel, Amy and Wyatt on their trip to Texas from North Carolina. It was so great to be able to play with Wyatt, and talk with Amy and Daniel. Whitt and Wyatt hit it off immediatly, even though they don't know that yet.

Whitt + Wyatt = BFF Forever.

Savages, we cant wait till our next visit!!!

NOW OFF TO AUSTIN

When we were in Austin we went and visited my dad's parent, Jewel and Blackie...who Whitt already adores... (Whitt believe me you do, Blackie will always be a score for Candy)!!!!

He also was able to meet his cousin, Gain.

Gain and Whittaker were born 2 days apart.

Whittaker is two days older, I know...

Can you believe that? Oh, my little preemie... you will catch up one day.

Whittaker was pulling all kind of crazy stunts in Austin, he can now roll from his

stomach to his back! He waited till Dad got in town to show off...

I have tried to video it several times but he is camera shy, of course.

My blue eyed boy just being as cute as ever.

He is growing and changing more and more everyday. He is weighing 8 lbs. 12 oz. and to my measurements is about 20 inches long. He is staying awake more during the day and sleeping a little longer at night. Praise the Lord. He loves to be in his swing or be held. He is definitely a cuddler. He is getting rolls on his legs which is a dream come true. We pulled out baby pictures when I was in Austin and we have decided that he had Andy's eye's and my nose and bottom part of my face (lips, chin, etc.). He also found his voice or should

a say cry while we were in Austin, and man is it loud.

He is getting more of a personality everyday which is really fun to see.

And we are off....

First stop:

Houston to see The Savages (ahhhh!!!). Wyatt and Whitt are going to be BFF, I just know it!!!!

Second Stop:

Austin to visit Annie B (my mom) and Whittaker's two aunts.

We are busting at the seams we are so excited.

We (Whitt and I) will be gone for the week, so pray that Whitt will adjust well. This will be his first journey so pray that he stays the calm spirited baby that he has been!

Today is my due date: August 11, 2009

Today is the day our little man was suppose to be born, but he has graced our presence for the last 2 months. These last 2 months have just been a blessing to Andy and I, Whittaker brings continuous smiles to our every day. In this day as we are so happy that our little mister is here, we are even more grateful that we have a FATHER that has blessed us with more than we could have asked for. Did I know that today Andy and I would take Whittaker to his 2 month appointment, no.... I thought I would be giving birth. God knew that we would be driving to the doctor today,

He knew Whittaker would come out weighing a mere 3 lbs.

and today would weigh 7 lbs. 8 oz., He knew.

Praise the Lord that He cradled little Whitt

in his arms and kept him safe and healthy.

So in this day as I look at my son sleeping in his swing, I would like to

Whitt's stats:

Height- 18 inches (.00%)

He loves to sleep, eat and poop. Even though he is 2 months old he still acts to his adjusted birth day which is one day old. I love to see each roll develop on his body, to me rolls are a dream come true on his little body. He doesn't cry very much but when he does he makes his self very known. He is starting to sleep a little better at night, he will sometimes go for a 4 hour stretch before he wants to eat again. He loves when his dad feeds him, he takes down his bottle like a champ. Lately Whitt and I have been watching SYTYCD in hopes that one day he will hear the beat of the music and know dancing was meant for him. We also love to sing Shane and Shane or Watermark together during the day. He loves to be swaddled and hates to be naked, changing his diaper and bath time are not his strong points. He is quite a stretcher and grunter. Night time feedings with him are my favorite, he is so awake and ready to party. He is bright eyed and ready to go,

we have great talks at this time.

I cant wait to see how he changes over the next month.

Wonderful Whitt!!!!!

Life with Whitt is great. He is growing like a weed, we are working on him getting his nights and days in order, right now he still has them switched. It is crazy to think that my "due date" still isn't here, that he would look the way he does in my belly! I realize that every time I felt him in my belly that he was stretching, he is just a stretcher. He is also such a pooper, but that is another post. He met with his physical therapist today and past his exam with flying colors. Hip Hip Hooray!!! 

Well that is the latest update on the mister.

2 month Vaccines

Can I get yall's opinion on what you think about 2 month vaccines. 

Did yall give them to your children? 

I have done some research and I don't know what to think, especially since his due date isn't even here and he is almost 2 months old. 

 Whitt has his 2 month appointment next week and I don't know what to do.

So the little man passed his car seat test

After the Second try...

So.... 

We got to TAKE HIM HOME!!!!!!!!!

And do things like give him a bath

And carry him around free of wires.....

He gets to sleep next to us (and wake us up every 3 hours :( Joy Bliss)

We are so so excited to be home with our little man. He has been an absolute JOY!

We took him to his first pediatrician appointment and he is growing like a weed, he now weighs 5 lbs 5 oz. He has been such a great baby and we are so grateful for was God has been doing for us. God is good!!!! 

Whittaker is 6 weeks old tomorrow, I cant believe he is almost 2 months old, it is just mind boggling to me how old he actually is. I sometimes think that he is just a couple days old since he has only actually been home for a few days. 

Well I am going to get back to the Little Man. 

A visit from Aunt Nei

My sister, Whitney, and her boyfriend, Ran, came up for a little visit last weekend and Whittaker just absolutely loved being snuggled by his aunt!!!!!

I can't believe it has already been a month since little Whitt was born.

 He has already accomplished so much in his little life.

 to a jail bird because I am a big boy now!!!!! 

Tonight is my first night in a crib.

MY FEEDING TUBE

I am taking all my feeds in a bottle and let me tell you, I want more food than they give me. I get fed every 3 hours. I have also been able to sleep on my stomach here at the hospital and I love it, I throw a little fit when I am on my back....

 Mom and Dad are going to love that when I get home.

I am 16 1/2 inches long, 

I started out 15 1/2 inches... so I will take the inch!!!!

And no short jokes remember I wasn't "supposed" to be

 out for another month and a day

Well I am off to SNOOZE.... and get some beauty sleep,

 I am hoping my mom will be able to see me tomorrow!!!!

STILL....

I am still in bed sick, sorry for the broken promise of a video....I cannot get it to download on my computer. Andy is going to have to bring the directions. I went to the doc today for my blistered face and now eyeball.... yes I have fever blisters on my eyeball. As my sister in law said, I look like an alien! I would post a picture but I will spare you having to look at me and spare me the embarrassment. So I have still yet to be able to go and see Whitt, I am hoping the blisters heal fast with the new meds and I will be able to go soon. Pray for that PLEASE!

Let me give you the latest update on the little man. 

He weighs 3lbs. 16oz...... almost 4 lbs. 

Closer to 4 than 3.16 the nurse said!!!!!!!

Praise GOD!!!!

WE ARE SO EXCITED!!

His feeds are up to 36cc a feed (there are 30cc in 1 ounce) which are 8x  a day.

4 of his feeds are given to him by bottle and not feeding tube, 

he took all the bottles yesterday so they bumped it up to 4 today. 

MY LITTLE MAN IS A CHAMP!

Yesterday he got mad at the nurse because he wanted more food. 

I cannot wait to hear him scream (I know I will take those words back someday), 

he is always so peaceful when we are there. 

God has really made himself so evident lately and I am so Thankful for that. He is really teaching our family so much and molding us in some pretty spectacular ways. 

I am excited to continue to be molded into the wife,

mother,friend,family that he wants me/us to be. 

Please to continue to be in prayer for our family of 3, plus Gus !!!

I'm Sorry, so soo sorry!!!

I am sorry that I haven't updated on the little man in a while,

 he deserves so much more than that...

but I have been sick in bed for the past 4 days.

 I had a bout with mastitis (girls I am sure you know what that is. Men, if you are reading the blog.... just don't go there). So with that said I have been sleeping ALOT and trying to get that taken care of.  Tagging along with the mastitis came a nice fever of 103.8, well those of you who know me know that fevers and I don't get along.... they allow me the pleasure of getting fever blisters. So now I have about 30 fever blisters on my lips and 15 on my left eye lid. But with all they said, I am turning a corner and I am feeling much better but looking really gross!!!!! 

I have not been able to go to the hospital since Thursday so that has been awful, but I have some really great stuff to post later of Andy and Whitt. 

So I promise to post on Little Whittaker later on today when Andy can put 

the VIDEO (hint, hint)on my computer.

An update on the Little man!

I am about to go up to the hospital but I wanted to give you a little update on Whitt.

 He is doing really well, he has had a little bout with reflux but they put his feedings on a machine which allows the food to go in over 30 minutes instead of letting the food go in the tube just through gravity which takes about 5 minutes. He has done really well since they put him on the machine. His feedings have been increased to 24 calories.... can you imagine if we 

only ate 24 calories a meal, like 4 grapes!!!! They have decreased the temp. on his incubator because he is becoming a little better about regulating his body temperature, which is great. 

He has finally started gaining weight instead of loosing.... 

 He has gained 5 packets of BBQ sauce from Chick-fil-a, approximately 5 oz.!!!!!

Well that is about all for now... I am off to be with the little man!!!!!!
